IONify - Static Charging Bar
A static charging system consists of a high-voltage generator, an electrode (charging bar/applicator) and cabling. The generator supplies the high voltage needed to create a static charge, typically from 3 to 60 kV. Charging electrodes come in different shapes and sizes to achieve the best result for each application.
Static charging systems are used to:
-
Bond two materials together
-
Prevent air inclusion during production
-
Optimize a step in the production process
IONify is our next-generation charging bar. Building on the field-proven HDC and HDR designs, IONify adds increased robustness and safety: tungsten emitters for long life and an enlarged resistor network to strongly reduce the chance of spark-over and avoid interruptions in machine control. The rear mounting slot allows quick, precise installation, and the cable exit can be straight or right-angled (90°).
